MEET THE OWNER
Hello there. “Hajimemashite!” (That means nice to meet you in Japanese!) I’m Sam the creator of SANCHA and I moved back to the UK in June 2020 after living in Tokyo for 7 years. I am fluent in Japanese and have spent my entire life fascinated by Japan and its culture.
I started SANCHA due to the difficulty that I was having finding work during the COVID-19 pandemic and because of my love of Japanese food and flavours.
I hope to be able to share my passion and knowledge about Japan through high quality, artisanal bakes. I hope you'll enjoy this adventure and thank you for your interest in SANCHA.
I’m a firm believer in quality over quantity, and I want to openly commit
to customers that SANCHA will always provide exceptional products with exceptional service. The support of my customers is greatly appreciated, and I aim to express my gratitude through honest practices and delicious products.
All products will be baked within 24 hours of purchase. I will always aim to make the products as fresh as possible for you to enjoy!
Locally sourced ingredients (where possible) to support local businesses and lower carbon emissions.
Sold through local businesses to promote local growth. SANCHA pledges to #supportlocal 100%.
No artificial preservatives, colours or flavours.
You never have to worry about unnecessary ingredients. Ever.
SANCHA was established in March 2021 and started as a home-baking business during the COVID-19 crisis.
Since then, I've been overwhelmed by the amount of interest that has been generated by lovers of Japan and of unique taste experiences. I aim to have a product that everyone can enjoy and have been working hard in the kitchen to develop recipes to do just that.
I released my first range of vegan cookies in July of 2021 and have already started making test products for Gluten Free products too.
Be sure to follow SANCHA on Instagram or use the email subscription form below for regular updates about new products.
